International workers in Scotland

People come to Scotland from Poland, Nigeria, other European countries and many other places. inthire does not sort candidates by nationality. We look at skills, experience, qualifications, the city you can work in, when you can start, and whether you have the right to work.

Experience from another country counts. Write it in tasks an employer in Dundee, Edinburgh or Glasgow will recognise. A supervisor job, a care certificate, a driving licence, a trade: name it.

English level is a practical question, not a test of belonging. Some roles need fluent English. Some need enough English to follow a safety briefing. The vacancy should say which.

Living in Scotland already, and planning to move, are both valid. If you are not here yet, say when you could start and do not apply for a shift you cannot reach.

We do not offer visas, sponsorship or a guarantee of work. If you are unsure about your status, get advice from a qualified immigration adviser. We can only explain what a hiring manager usually asks to see.
